The Digital Design Commons is a newly formed multimedia center on Wesleyan’s campus. Formerly home to the Davison Art Center, the DDC engages students in creative research and artistic practice across a range of disciplines.
The Digital Design Commons is home to a motion capture studio (OptiTrack System), 2x Video Editing Suites (PC & Mac), a sound recording studio, our equipment checkout (video, photo, lighting, audio, projection), a multimedia classroom (DDC 100), and co-working lounge. These spaces and equipment are available for student bookings via our Cheqroom app. Eligible students in Dance, Theater, Studio Arts or Music can access our app to make their reservations.
Courses offered within the DDC deepen conceptual and technical knowledge of multimedia approaches within a variety of artistic practices. The DDC also regularly offers student-led training and workshops. If you are an eligible student interested in checking-out equipment, please visit our DDC Moodle Page for up to date information and resources. For more information, please contact Pedro Bermudez, Professor of the Practice of Video and Audio Production, pbermudez@wesleyan.edu.
